主要内容
There are a range of attributes of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, such as its amplitude, phase and polarization, which can be exploited to address various applications. Advanced technologies can be developed with different combinations in the exploitation, for example, interferometric SAR (InSAR), differential InSAR (DInSAR), and permanent scatterer InSAR (PSInSAR). The contents of the course include: • InSAR for digital elevation model (DEM) generation with resolution between 1-30m. We generate DEMs from SAR data and compare them with photogrammetric and lidar DEMs as well as ground truth. • DInSAR for monitoring ground displacement at sub-cm accuracy. We use repeat-pass DInSAR to monitor ground displacement due to mining, groundwater/ oil/ gas extraction, earthquakes and so on. • PSInSAR for monitoring long-term ground deformation at mm/ year accuracy. We use a stack of SAR images to monitor long-term (over years) ground surface movement, especially in urban regions.
